Jenin & Christy

Wedding Party

Meet the dream team that got us through everything!

Blayre Bueche

Matron of Honor

I’ve known Christy now for 5 years, we met working together as Occcupational Therapists. I remember the first day we met and she oriented me to the units and everyone thought we’ve known each other for years, went to school together or even were sisters. Nope we just met an hour ago. After that day I think we both knew there was no other option but to be best friends haha but seriously it was the start of a friendship and we’ve never looked back. Can’t wait to stand by her side on a day I know she’s been dreaming about and will make the most beautiful bride.

Linda Varghese

Matron of Honor

Christy & I met at work one day. I asked her if she was malu & you can say the rest was history. We instantly became best friends. Being a Texas transplant, she became my go-to person for all things FUN! I can always count on her to make me laugh! We bonded over numerous shopping rendez-vous, sushi dates, & our “intentional” work-out plans, haha. I can’t wait to see you become a whole wife & I’m so honored to be apart of this exciting new chapter in your life.

Gretchen Schneider

Maid of Honor

Christy was my first friend I made at work where she took me under her wing so I didn’t have to keep eating lunch with the supervisors. She started as my OT counterpart and quickly became my best friend through the countless happy hours, sushi dates, and vacations. Christy is one of those friends you can always count on to be there when you need her and puts a smile on your face. I can’t wait to stand by her side on the happiest day of her life.

Jincy John

Bridesmaid

I can’t say I’ve known Christy for as many years as the rest of the bridesmaids but the years that I’ve known her have felt like I’ve known her for years! As notorious as it that big brothers are protective, it’s safe to say that us little sisters are just as scary. When Jenin brought first introduced me to Christy, I couldn’t have been more happier and excited to have the sister that I’ve always wanted. Someone so kind, patient, and truly so amazing and funnier than Jenin - I knew she was perfect! I pray to this day that he doesn’t mess things up and hope that she’ll at least stay for me :)

Angalie Koshy

Bridesmaid

I’ve known Christy my entire life and have been lucky enough to grow up with her as my big sis. I’ll never forget the weekends we’d play and make forts (she’s the best at this if you haven’t heard already) and the dances she’d teach me and Ashley for our family parties. I’ll also never forget the time we played dress up where she put me in a dress made out of blankets, did my hair, and attempted my makeup to show our entire family. I’m glad the roles are reversed and now I get to be the one to help you put your makeup on, get dressed, and see you walk out in front of all of our family when you say I do to the man of your dreams. I’m so happy you’ve found your person and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for you and Jenin.

Bridesmaid

Some say it was fate; others say it was our love for sushi happy hours and late night Taco Bell runs. Christy and I met at work, where I thought she was a new hire like me; little did I know she had been there for 3 years...oops. It was our love for laughing at random things (the “you had to be there” moments) for an excessive amount of time, talking about life, or even finding a spot to just sit and enjoy each other’s company that brought us so close together. It is rare to find a true friendship that brings genuine happiness, and I’m grateful that I found that with Christy. No matter how far the Three Musketeers venture they pick up where they left off.

Sonia Sam

Bridesmaid

Christy and I have known each other since we were 10 years old. It started when our dance class got combined to one. We took the next 7 years of dance together, grew closer and closer through each year. We eventually ended up living one street away from each other and went to the same high school. At this point, we were inseparable. Everyday, we would eat lunch together, she would give me rides to school and dance, we would get a Starbucks frap, and take a stroll at the mall...yes, everyday. She moved to Philly for school, but our friendship stayed the same. I'm so thankful for our long lasting friendship and can't wait for the big day. I have been hearing about Jenin since you moved to Philly and knew one day you both would be together. Yall were always meant to be.

Ashley Varghese

Bridesmaid

I’ve known Christy since we were in diapers and she was still rocking her fro. She was my cousin but might as well have been my sibling because all of the shenanigans we would get into together. Whether it was building a fort with my brother, making chip sandwiches, or getting yelled at for sitting down too much during church, we always had a good time together. I’m so thankful that I get to stand beside her as she marries her best friend. It's been a while since our last Koshy wedding, so we are excited to tear up the dance floor. Wishing all the best for my cousin and future cousin-in-law. Let’s hope Jenin knows how to make a good quality fort.

Geethu Philip-Abraham

Bridesmaid

Lets see.. When did I meet Christy or should I say Malu? or Kitty? hahah. 1990? 1991? I mean does anyone remember when they actually met their family? Christy and I have known each other our entire lives and I am excited to be a part of her BIG DAY! #TeamBride

Best Man

Jenin and I were both juniors in our doctoral programs when we met. I was in law school, and Jenin was completing his doctorate in Occupational Therapy. In the summer of 2015, I was required to complete a summer clerkship, and Jenin was needed to complete a rotation. What started as random roommates through a fraternal connection soon became the best of friends.

Jenin and I have been friends for the last 12 years. I first met Jenin at USP. He was the kid with the blowout haircut and Chrysler 300. From there, our friendship grew to what it is now - a brotherhood that most people do not experience. We are completely opposite yet very similar in what we value. At USP, we valued character. We stood together at USP, and we stand together today, just the same, by each other's

I met Jenin in the Spring of 2012. We both were enrolled in doctoral programs at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. We were also members of Sigma Beta Rho fraternity. We eventually became roommates, and it was during this year where I came to witness how Jenin operates. I’ve come to recognize Jenin as an extremely organized, methodical, thoughtful & motivated intellectual. We have remained close friends ever since.

When my family started going to St. Mary's Orthodox Church, I met this super hype, chubby kid who began serving in the altar with the rest of us. He immediately started owning all the responsibilities at the alter and was one of the first ones to show up every Sunday morning. We started to click more as we got older and went from being altar boys to friends to brothers. We were involved in each other's ups and downs, and although we took different paths in life, we kept our friendship and brotherhood. Jenin has always been that guy who is full of energy, wise beyond his years, took major responsivities early in life, and who believes in keeping his circle with successful individuals that can motivate and uplift each other. This unique quality made our bond even tighter.

I met Jenin summer of 2015 through mutual friends while he was in Chicago for his rotations. We had some of the best times hanging out that summer. He’s one of the most honest and caring people I’ve known. Although we’ve lived in distant states since then, we’re always able to pick up right where we left off whenever we’re together. I look forward to more memories and wish Jenin and Christy the best of luck on their journey together.

I met Jenin in September of 2009 while standing in-line to pick up our freshman orientation packets. He introduced himself as "Jenin Juice," and I thought, "I guess I got to find a cool catchphrase style last name." Over the next six years, we became great friends and grew together both professionally and personally. From our time in West Philadelphia to traveling the world, Jenin and I have forged countless memories that I will share with his grandchildren one day. Congratulations on taking this next step in your life!

Jenin and I are first cousins. I met Jenin when I was born. We are blood brothers forever. Nothing more needs to be said. I will have your back forever. I am proud of the man you have become, and I am happy for everything you have achieved. I know big things are coming for you in your future. Congrats to you and Christy on your special day!

I have known Jenin for over 16 years. I still remember the first day I met him when he came over to my house with his parents. Ever since then, we have been best friends. He has always had my back and has looked out for me since then. We went to the same church, and my brother and I always ended up at Jenin's house on the weekends. Needless to say, Jenin and Jincy are like siblings to us. When we were young, I still forced Jenin to come out of his house to go to one of my friend's birthday party. He may have known one other person, other than myself, at that party. There were like ten people there. That speaks to the person that Jenin is – he will do absolutely anything for the people he cares about. Christy is an amazing person and has become a sister to me since the first time I met her.
