It’s Finally Happening!

It was July 22, 2019.... Cale’s 40th Birthday. We had a massage in the morning and our friend Bethann took us to lunch. After running some errands, we went home to get ready for his birthday dinner. I took a shower and started getting dressed. Cale walked into our room and said, “do you know what i want for my birthday?” I said, “not now Cale, I just got out of the shower!” I turned around and he was on one knee... “ what I want for my birthday is for you to marry me”. I was in such shock that my response was, “ BUT IM NAKED!” ... he said, “yah... soooo???? Well, you can say no haha” ... i said “OF COURSE I WILL!”

We went to Wheeling High School in a Suburb outside of Chicago. The weathwr was nice enough to walk around. My friend and i were walking around her neighborhood. She suggested we walk over by this guy Brian’s house. When we got there, I saw Cale sitting down by the fence... “wow, he is cute!” I had a “boyfriend” (who I only met once) but who cares??? All 4 of us decided to walk to K-Mart. I wanted this cute little compact and Cale got it for me. As immature as 15 year old girls are.... i asked Cale to give me a hicky to make my “boyfriend” jealous. We never kissed, but he was sweet enough to give me a hicky haha.
