Chris and Sydney's love story began in Wexford, Pennsylvania where they both attended North Allegheny High School. It was freshman year of high school in 2011 and Chris and Sydney were both in band class - Chris played the trumpet and Sydney played the flute. Sydney would always catch Chris looking across the room at her, but they never spoke. Funny enough for 2 years she heard more from Chris' friends than she heard from him. After 2 years, his persistence finally paid off and they began spending more time together as friends, and eventually in 2014 (senior year of high school) began their relationship. By wedding day, they will have been together for over 8 years. Those years have involved a bit of high school, long-distance for college, the start of both of their careers, moving to 3 different states, the most recent being back to Pittsburgh where they grew up, and a little fur baby named Winston. Pittsburgh will be the location where Chris and Sydney will say "I do" and they cannot wait.

On November 25th, 2023, Sydney and Chris were down in Florida spending Thanksgiving with Sydney's family. Sydney's mom, Robbie, had planned a family dinner for everyone that night. Chris was trying to give no hints off to Sydney and used this as an excuse to go take pictures on the beach. The whole family played their part and agreed it had been a while since they had done family photos. She was extremely skeptical and kept checking the pockets of both Chris and Josh (Becca's boyfriend) on the way to the beach, but did not see anything. Robbie and John (Sydney's father) came down a little bit later and had the ring with them. Becca successfully distracted Sydney by asking her to take pictures of Josh and herself. This was the perfect moment, the sun was setting, waves were crashing into the beach and Sydney had no idea. As she was taking pictures of Josh and Becca, Chris got onto his knee and asked Sydney to marry him. And just like that, they will begin the rest of their lives together.
