We're Getting Married!

Chris and Sophia have lived 4 blocks from each other their whole lives and had mutual friends but didn't really meet until 2015. They started dating at the beginning of 2016 during their sophomore year of high school. Their first date was at a movie theatre.

After seeing our favorite singer in concert (Joji) for the second time, Chris took a detour before heading home. Driving down Lake Shore Drive at 11:00 pm, Sophia thought they were just going to look at the beautiful skyline at one of their teenage hangout spots, Adler Planetarium. Meanwhile, Chris was hiding a ring in his pocket. Sophia didn't want to get out of the car because it was freezing cold and extremely windy but Chris convinced her it would only be for a minute and it would be fine. As they were approaching the sun dial, Sophia was sketched out by a group of strangers (all of their friends hiding acting like hooligans). After that, Chris took Sophia by the hands and gave the whole "I wanna marry you" spiel. Sophia blacked out during this part and was repeatedly saying "oh my god this isn't real" and of course said "yes!". A second later all of their friends approached with their congratulations. After a dead car battery, a fresh fiancé who really had to pee and also had work the next morning, they said their goodbyes and went home. It did NOT feel like real life! You can tell she had no clue because she was wearing crocs during her proposal.
