Some love stories begin with fireworks. Ours began with friendship, stubbornness, and a man who refused to stop believing in what his heart already knew. Long before Samantha ever saw Chris as “the one,” he saw something special in her something worth waiting for, fighting for, and showing up for, again and again. At the time, Samantha never imagined that the coworker who made her laugh at Kia would one day become the love of her life. In fact, when Chris first asked her out, her answer was a confident no… followed by many more Nos. But Chris has always known what he wants and he’s never been one to give up easily. One day, with his signature confidence, Chris walked up to Samantha’s desk and casually announced that he’d be picking her up at 8:00 p.m. for a date. Samantha laughed and replied, “Absolutely not. Over my dead body.” At exactly 8:00 p.m., Samantha’s phone rang. Chris was outside. Living with her parents at the time, Samantha’s first thought was that she could not let her dad answer the door. She sprinted to the front door before Chris could knock. That night, Chris took her out for sushi, and despite her best efforts to resist, the walls she had carefully built slowly began to fall. At the end of the evening, Chris asked if he could kiss her. She said no… and then, in a moment neither of them would forget, he kissed her anyway. Shocked, flustered, and convinced that was the end of the story, Samantha jumped out of the car and ran inside her parents’ house. It wasn’t the end.. it was only the beginning. Chris kept showing up. He kept choosing her. And somewhere between that bold first date, his unwavering persistence, and the way he never stopped believing in them, Samantha fell in love. Together, they traveled across the United States, collecting adventures, laughter, and memories along the way. But the place where their hearts truly fell in love was New York City. A city that will always hold a special place in their story. Along the way, their love grew into something even greater a family. Together, Samantha and Chris are raising three incredible boys: Josh, Oliver, and Baron. Their children are the heart of their home and the greatest reminder that love multiplies when it’s shared.
