Chris and I have a modern day love story- we met on a dating app! After chatting for a couple weeks, Chris planned our first date for the first day restaurants were back open after quarantine. Chris picked me up at my place in New Orleans and we went to brunch at Superior Seafood. The conversation flowed easily like we had been friends for years! After brunch, we weren't ready to call it a day, so we picked up my pup Piper and took her to Audubon Park for a walk. We laid out a blanket under a tree and spent the next couple hours laying there and talking. We hung out almost every day after that wonderful first meeting! We couldn't get enough of each other <3

The very best day!! Chris and I had been planning a big trip to Tennessee with a bunch of our friends (totally where I thought he may pop the question). Before heading up to Tennessee, me, Chris, and Cooray stopped by my Parent's house in Florida to spend a day with my family and pick my sister up along the way. After a relaxing day at the beach, I was ready to kick back and hang out with my fam. My mom and sister tried real hard (without being too obvious) to get me to get out of my lounge clothes and fix myself up a little bit. However, I was in vacation mode and just wanted to relax in my comfies! After a bit of nudging, I threw my hair up in a wet bun and put a little dress on- the bare minimum (haha little did I know)! We had a delicious meal as a family and then it was time to relax on the back porch, over looking the pond, with a glass of wine. At some point everyone went inside and left oblivious me lounging with my pups on the porch. Chris, being the sweet man he is, also went inside to refill my glass of wine. A few moments later, Chris comes outside with a speaker playing our song and a new glass of wine- but this glass of wine was extra special! He had the ring hooked on to the wine charm dangling from the stem!! I was so shocked and so emotional, I just started balling! My sweet man got down on his knee and asked me to be his wife- yes yes yes a million times! I did not see that coming at all! After crying and hugging for what felt like forever, I looked up and saw my family cheering from the window. It was so special to have all of them there for that wonderful moment. We went inside and my family had decorated the house for our engagement! We spent the evening celebrating together- it was truly the most spectacular evening!
