Where It All Started

January 2019

After a long day of work at a bridal expo at the Hartford convention center, My co- worker and I decided to enjoy our night off and go out for a few drinks. When we arrived at the bar, i was pleased to find out i knew the DJ that was there that night. We said our hellos and I carried on with my night. When i was out on the dance floor i was informed that this guy thought i was pretty and wanted my number! So of course i said why not ( i may of had a few drinks at that point). We talked for a few minutes and after that he went off with his friends and i went back to mine. We both didn't think much would come from it but the next day we started talking. After a few weeks of talking, he asked me out on a date. He arrived at my house to pick me up, a dozen roses in my seat ( my favorite flower) and we headed off . The night before we had a snow storm. the roads where terrible, so we decided to change our plans and go somewhere local instead of trying to head to the casino. We ended at a little place called Roberto's in east Windsor CT. After a nice dinner together, there wasn't much to do due to it being Sunday, so we headed back to his house where i got to meet the family and watch a little bit of the football game. From that night on where inseparable. February 14th he asked me to be his girlfriend

Our Engagment

December 22nd, 2019

This year for Christmas we decided a few months before that we all wanted to take a family trip for Christmas. Unfortunately my family was not able to join, so this trip was the Herbert and Watson family's Christmas get away. We decide to take a cruise to Aruba! This was my first time on a cruise and out of the country! So Chris wanted to make it extra special and ask me to marry him. The first two days at sea where rough. It was very rough seas and i do not do good with motion sickness. The second day at sea before we arrived at our first port, the dinner theme for the night was elegant, Everyone was asked to dress up nice. The cruise line had professional photographers available to take pictures of families and couples. Chris decided that was the perfect opportunity to get down on one knee. We got inline for the pictures in front of the giant Christmas tree, i was feeling a little ill and was not having it. All his family gathered on the sidelines with their phones out and ready. I was a little suspicious at that point. When it was our turn we posed for the first picture, he pulled the ring out, got down on one knee ( Kicking a present on the way down) , and ask my to be his wife! I said YES! We then celebrated with our family at dinner. Perfect start to a great vacation!
