Our love story began on a soccer field. As Chris was leaving soccer practice, Nicole was just arriving for hers when her coach asked a few members of the boys' team to stay and join in a friendly scrimmage. Nicole played forward that day and Chris was the goalie. From the very beginning, there was something neither of them could quite explain — a curiosity about one another, playful teasing, innocent flirting, and laughter that would become some of their sweetest early memories. Even then, they were leaving an impression on each other's hearts. Those moments stayed with them long after the final whistle blew, and on June 8, 2008, at a school car wash, Chris asked Nicole to be his girlfriend. What followed was the kind of love that grows alongside you — a beautiful season of firsts, from first dates and late-night conversations to first loves and dreams of all the places life might take them. Over the years, life invited them both to grow, explore, and discover who they were becoming. Through every chapter, one thing remained undeniable: the love, friendship, and connection they shared.
