We’re getting married!

Chris and Laurel met a few times in 2017 and were always intregued by each other, but Laurel thought Chris was too young for her, so she never really gave him a proper chance. They ran into each other on July 1, 2018 while Laurel was out with some friends at Husby’s, where Chris worked at the time. He had her laughing in no time and they were pretty much glued to each other the entire night. The entire week after that, Chris texted her every day until she agreed to go out to dinner with him. They went on their official first date a week later on July 8. Chris picked her up, took her to dinner at Glidden Lodge, and then they bar hopped on the way home. Laurel couldn’t remember the last time she had that much fun with anyone! Chris knew this was going to be something special. It’s safe to say that they’ve been inseperable ever since. When Laurel was in a life-altering accident on September 2, 2018, just two months after they started dating, it only brought them closer together. Shortly after, Chris moved in with her and the dogs on December 1, 2018. After a year and a half of dating, over Christmas 2019, Chris asked Laurel’s mom and dad if he could marry her. They gave him their blessing. While visiting Laurel’s family in Florida in February 2020, Chris gave Laurel the surprise of her life when he took her down to the beach on a particularly beautiful evening (Feb. 17). He claimed he wanted a “nice photo of the two of them with the sunset behind them.” He found a random woman walking down the beach to capture the moment, whispering to the woman that he was going to propose and “to take as many photos as possible.” She captured the whole thing and it was absolutly perfect. They celebrated with dinner at South Beach Grill on Ft. Myers Beach, then shared the good news with their families.
