How We Met

February 24 2016

Kleya and I happened to work at the same job, Popeye's Louisianan Kitchen. I was attracted to her when I first laid eyes on her. However, it took days for me to find the confidence to say a word to Ms. Fell until one day she came into my work station asking questions. Sadly, I didn't know her name or how to pronounce it but that didn't stop me from helping a co-worker of mine. Later that day my shift ended and I overheard the other co-workers say Monique, then a light went off in my head that it was her name. At my surprise, Monique offered me a ride home when she saw me standing outside waiting for a ride one day. Of course, I said yes. We had conversation all the way to my house and we continued to talk for hours in the car once we arrived to my destination. Eventually, I know I had to stop talking so she could go home. I didn't wanted it to end because I wanted to know everything about her. I felt a connection between us, so I continue to pursue her. So, I located her on Facebook and got enough confidence built up to ask for her number. Monique was cool with that. I called her and we talked the rest of the night on the phone. It was an amazing feeling to actually find someone who was willing to not only talk but listen to you!

The Proposal

4-25-2018

This day would be remembered for the rest of my life, I wasn't sure how to propose to a woman. But, I was sure of the woman I was about to put the ring on the finger. I finally got the ring, but I wasn't sure how to propose so I went with my gut. Once I arrived at home my girlfriend Kleya was in the restroom. I didn't know how to pop the question. I said to myself "should I hide the ring and wait for that special moment or just storm in the bathroom get down on one knee and ask her to marry me". When Kleya came out of the restroom, I was so excited I grabbed her; gave her a big kiss and a hug. I fell to my knees with the ring in my hand and blurred it out. "Kleya will you marry me?" She was so shocked and overwhelmed and responded with a sounding " yes!" It was a weight lifted off of my chest and I finally found my Mrs.Right . I wasn't going to give up and still to this day....
