Like all great love stories, ours begins with a couple of meddling best friends (shoutout to Tara and Brian) who decided to play Cupid. Turns out, they were onto something. We had our first date at Wicked Wolf in Hoboken, where we laughed, flirted, and someone forgot his credit card. Whether it was a clever ploy for a second date or just forgetfulness is still up for debate, but either way, it worked. Date #2: beers and the final Avengers movie. Romantic? Kinda. Intense? Absolutely. Did one of us totally fake having watched all 20+ Marvel movies just to impress the other? …Yes. Yes, she did. (No regrets. Worth it.) Somehow, that pretend-superhero knowledge led to real connection, and before we knew it, we were trading Infinity Stones for takeout orders, inside jokes, and building a life together. And now, here we are — still laughing, caught up on all of the Marvel movies, and getting ready to say “I do."
