I guess it's true when they say " Dad knows best!" For a few years, my dad kept telling me about this "guy" at work who loved sports, theater, his family, and telling dad jokes. My reply was " yeah, ok Dad." I recently bought my own place and was in the midst of looking for a new job. A few years later, a position at my Dad's company opened up and I was interested in applying for it. I was in my Dad's office printing out the application and Chris came in to "talk" about sports. He introduced himself and I just casually went about my business while they were talking. I immediately turned to my Dad when Chris left and said "why did you tell him to come in?" He said that he didn't, but of course I didn't believe him. Fast forward a few months later after my Dad retired, I applied, interviewed, and accepted the position at LSAC. I started in December of 2018 and was excited for a new start. My only focus was learning my new job and getting acclimated within the company. Chris and I weren't in the same department but would occasionally see each other in the office. I remember he sent me a work related email right after the Superbowl and ended it with "So did you enjoy the SuperBore?" That was his in, and the rest was history. We became facebook friends and talked almost everyday. In March he invited me to a happy hour after work with some other co-workers for his birthday. I was hesitant, but decided to go. Everyone left after a few hours, but Chris and I stayed til almost close talking about everything and anything. From that point on we had date after date and he asked me to be his girlfriend on March 24th 2019. From that point on we enjoyed different things like traveling, going to the movies, attending local events, etc. Our family and friends eventually met and everyone hit it off! I'll never forget the morning of August 9, 2020 when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I can't wait to become Mrs. Baldino & see where life takes us!
