Shepler's ferry boats depart about every hour to the island from Mackinaw City. You may also take a ferry from St. Ignace (in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula), where you will first take a beautiful drive across the majestic Mackinac Bridge to get there! See the full ferry boat schedule at www.sheplersferry.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/2023_Ferry-Schedule-1.pdf Note that the last boat of the day from the island is at 7PM in September, so we encourage guests to spend September 23 overnight on Mackinac Island.
Please use the code boat23 (case sensitive) for a discounted ferry rate when purchasing tickets online, or mention the Otten Wolin Wedding if purchasing the tickets in person at the docks.
Shepler's offers overnight vehicle parking at both their Mackinaw City and St. Ignace locations. You have the option of on-site or off-site parking that ranges from $15 to $35/night. For off-site parking, a shuttle will take you from your car to the ferry docks to then depart to the island.
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Northern Michigan can get chilly, so make sure to bring layers!
We recommend staying through our hotel room block at Mission Point Resort, where the wedding will take place. The Murray Hotel and Lilac Tree Inn & Suites are also nearby on Mackinac Island, located downtown. All room blocks will freeze and new rooms will no longer be available to book through our block in early August, 2023.
