Maid of Honor
My name is Anique Dunn. Iyore and I met in 2008 at Morgan State University. We were roommates turned sisters in Christ. Since 2008 we've been by each other's side, a friend and sister I'm so grateful for.

I met Iyore at Morgan State University through another mutual friend and I immediately thought this girl is cool and I love her energy. We got closer through the years of college, and even closer when we became roommates after I graduated. That's my sis for life and I'm so excited for you and Chris to embark on this new phase of marital bliss! May this union be a blessed and prosperous one that people will look at and want to emulate. Love you girl!

Yoriyori and I first met at an International Student Association (ISA) event during our time at Morgan State University, where Yowi was one of the event organizers. A few weeks later, we both joined the ISA dance group, Essence. We practiced together for the audition, made it into the group, and eventually decided to leave at the same time due to our Christian beliefs—an experience that truly brought us closer. The rest is history! She has been such a wonderful presence in my life and my family’s, and the kids absolutely adore their Aunty Yowi. I’m overjoyed to witness this beautiful union and can’t wait to celebrate with you and Uncle Chris!

Iyore and I met our Freshman year in college at Morgan State University through our talented mutual friend Jazmine aka Jazzy. While I don’t recall the exact location, I distinctly remember feeling inspired, accepted and liberated in one conversation. Shortly before meeting Iyore, I gave God an ultimatum (the kind we all do). I said, God if I’m going to do this Jesus thing in college, I need you to send me Christian friends…like the cool ones. Iyore was the answer to my prayer. I might’ve forgotten what was said, or what we did, but I will never forget how she made me feel.

I honestly can't remember when EXACTLY we met lol I do know it was at Sabin elementary! I remember being interested in dance so maybe at one of the step team drills after school. I don't remember us having any classes together but I do remember meeting up after school in middle school (Beaumont) to join you at your grandmas to make up dances 🥰

Iyore and I first met back in 6th grade, thanks to my cousin, who was one of her close friends at the time. We were just acquaintances then, but it planted the first seed of a friendship that would grow in the years to come. It wasn’t until 9th grade that Iyore and I truly connected and became close. Since then, we’ve shared so many moments—laughs, life lessons, late-night talks, and unforgettable memories. I feel so blessed to have her in my life; she is the true definition of a woman of God—graceful, loving, and full of faith. Even though I won’t be there in person on her special day, I’ll absolutely be there in spirit, celebrating her and covering her in love and prayers as she steps into this beautiful new chapter.

Iyore and I met at Morgan State University. We met in various occasions and can't remember the chronological order. It was either when I was looking to start a Christian dance group and she was one of the people who tried out or at a Bible study at an off campus apartment. Either way, after meeting her we just clicked and she became my sis and it's been over 15years now. I'm so excited to celebrate her and witness her walk down the aisle to the love of her life!!! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Jackson❤️❤️❤️

I've been knowing Iyore all my life, we grew up in Portland, Oregon together and we even went to the same high school! We are like sisters, we are the only girl cousins on the Odighizuwa side so our bond is special! We share laughs, tears, wisdom and prayers with each other! Sometimes we even bounce creativity and ideas off each other! She means so much to me and I'm so appreciative to have her in my life!

I think my first encounter with Iyore was when she was watching 7 Pounds in my Baltimore row-home ...odd, I know (don’t ask 😉)—and the rest is kind of a blur. I don’t even think we spoke that day. Somehow, that random meeting turned into years of sisterhood. From planning full productions to walking through life, ministry, and a whole lot of inside jokes, we've been through it all. Through awkward phases, growth, and our love for Jesus, we've stayed locked in. I am overjoyed for my good sis and honored to stand with her as she celebrates her union...and I celebrate gaining a new brother! ♥️

Yori entered my life with a hug! We met in 2010, while sophomores in college, and were serving in the media ministry together at church. While in worship, she saw me crying and gave me a big hug and encouraged me. We connected, discovered we'd both were majoring in Communications, and shared a love for filmmaking, music, creativity and everything in between. She's been a true friend, sister, prayer partner and so much in my life and I'm honored to be a part of her journey, especially the part when she says I do!

I met my Iyore on the illustrious campus of Morgan State University, where we instantly connected through laughter, cheer stories, dance, music, and heartfelt conversations about our dreams for the future. Our bond deepened as we shared our journeys, encouraging one another in faith and friendship, eventually becoming roommates and forever friends. It is an absolute joy and honor to now stand beside her as one of her bridesmaids, celebrating the beautiful love story she so richly deserves.

“All it took was one conversation about music at a church service in Los Angeles, California one fateful night in October of 2010 to spark a friendship that would last a lifetime. Since that day, through each of life's challenges and triumphs, these brothers have always been by each other's side.”

“My name is Deshawn and I have known Chris for 14 years. I originally met Chris at Church, but we weren’t friends initially. Funny enough we both thought the other person didn’t like the other, but through getting to know each other we actually realized we have much in common in terms of music taste, personality and most of all, sense of humor. Chris has been a valuable friend and has provided both laughs and support. Congratulations Chris and Iyore, may God continue to bless both of you and your marriage!”

“Sometimes you meet people and it’s for a second, but sometimes you meet people and it’s for a life time. I feel that rare feeling, and it's hard to come by. When we met for the first time people thought we were friends for a long time, but little did they know that people saying that sparked a whole friendship that means a lot to me. I’m happy to be here with you and to be apart of something so beautiful! Love you both! Can’t wait to see what God makes out of this beautiful marriage. “

“Chris and I have been neighbors for as long as I can remember. Outside of siblings and family, I'm convinced we were each other's first or second friends. From diapers to sports in the front yard to Pokemon and Yugioh cards, we’ve literally grown up together. Now, it's an honor to share this moment with him and Iyore. “

"Thats my cousin I love him to death and I'm proud to see him boss up and make a move like this. Can't wait to celebrate with you and Iyore."

“I'm so proud to be your big bro and to witness your wedding with your amazing wife. May your life together be filled with love, happiness, and many adventures!”

“Chris is my little bro, and it's been incredible watching him grow into the man he is today. Over the years, I've had a front-row seat to his triumphs and misadventures (don't ask about Cheviot Hills), and now I get to see him step into this amazing new chapter. I met Iyore a few years ago, but it didn't take long before she truly felt like family. I'm honored to be a part of this special day to celebrate the love they've built together."

“We’ve been neighbors and grew up together since infants. We are brothers in every sense of the word.”

“Who knew that a neighbor would turn into a forever brother. God definitely knew I needed a brother and He blessed me with Chris.”
