We’re Gettin’ Hitched!

Christopher & Emily met for the first time in Delhi, NY. They were both attending college and we’ll just say, it wasn’t love at first sight. The two were nothing more than friends. They ran with the same crowd, hung out at a lot of the same parties & would see each other at the one bar Delhi had to offer. Their friendship grew over the years and senior year they ended up living next door to each other in an apartment complex in town. Graduation day Emily had friends over for celebration drinks in the morning. Among those friends, was Chris. Chris told Emily they’d probably never see each other again which made Emily so sad, but she figured he was probably right. Following graduation Emily moved to Nashville, TN where she began her post college life. Chris accepted a job with a company in Montana and was able to do some traveling. In October of 2016 Chris reached out to Emily and told her he was moving to Tennessee about 3 hours east of Nashville and said they should grab a beer and catch up. Emily took him up on his offer and the rest as they say, is history...

Chris & Emily made plans for a family vacation at Christmas time in December 2019. They met Chris’ mom, Kate & his sister, Sarah in Asheville, NC on Christmas Day. The four of them had a wonderful vacation together. Exploring the mountains during the day, and Asheville’s downtown scene at night. On the last day of their trip there, December 27th, 2019, the four of them (and Cato of course) hiked up Craggy Pinnacle Mountain. When they got to the top there was a beautiful man made lookout filled with tourists and views. They hung around that area for a while until Chris asked Emily if she wanted to do a little more exploring. The two of them wandered off the path a little bit until they found a clearing with peaceful breathtaking views. Chris got down on one knee and asked Emily if she would marry him. I think you all know what her answer was...

Today Chris & Emily are living in Florida while Chris works on another job with Barnard. Although Florida is not Chris & Emily’s ideal state, it will forever have a place in their hearts because it is filled with countless memories. Chris & Emily aren’t sure exactly where life will take them, all they know is they want to go there together.
