Chris and Claire met sometime during middle school. To be honest, they aren't exactly sure when they met. Chris and Claire's parents have been friends for a very long time, and as a result, have been on the receiving end of an endless stream of match-making jokes. As they entered high school, their friendship continued to grow (they even have pictures together from prom)! Coincidentally, Chris and Claire were both recruited to play at Dartmouth College -- Chris for rowing and Claire for softball. In the Fall of 2014, they headed off to Hanover, NH. Throughout college, they remained great friends. Claire would regularly crash Chris' rowing parties and Chris would show up at Claire's sorority formals. They were each other's #1 supporter on and off the field. When Covid hit in 2020, Claire returned to the Quad Cities to quarantine and spend time with her parents. Their friendship sparked as they started spending A LOT more time together. That summer, Claire was in the best shape of her life from the frequent runs she would take past Chris' house, trying to grab his attention! In November of 2020, Chris and Claire FINALLY decided it was time to try out dating and a year later they are happily engaged. The past year has been full of amazing trips, raising the best little pup, and love and laughter. They very much agree to never give their Moms any credit for manifesting the relationship...
