We still remember the day we met. We had just arrived in Grenada for medical school, filled with excitement and anticipation for the journey ahead. Within days, we found ourselves in the same group of friends, and on the very first day of classes, Chris turned to me and asked, “Would you like to study together?” I said “yes,” not realizing that one simple word would mark the beginning of something extraordinary. From lectures and labs to exams and late-night coffee runs, we became inseparable. Even amidst the busyness of medical school, we found time for beach days, island adventures, and laughter shared with friends. What began as an easy friendship gradually blossomed into something deeper, a love grounded in understanding, patience, joy, and faith. Looking back, we see God’s hand in every step that led us to one another. Though we grew up just an hour apart in North America, it took moving thousands of miles away to a small island in the Caribbean for our paths to cross. Every rejection, every success, and every unexpected turn was part of a greater plan in bringing us together in God's perfect timing. Today, as we look toward the future, we do so with grateful hearts, knowing that the same faith that brought us together will continue to guide us through every chapter ahead.
