We first crossed paths on Instagram back in the fall of 2017. Although we went to different high schools, we shared quite a few mutual friends and followed each other online, without actually knowing one another. One day, Chris caught my attention by flooding my Instagram with likes and compliments. I thought, "Wow, this guy is cute," and waited for him to message me... but he never did. So, I took the initiative and messaged him first, asking him to add me on Snapchat. What I didn’t know was that his parents didn’t let him have Snapchat, but with some help from Maddy, he secretly made an account behind his mom’s back. Even then, he’d take hours to respond, making me think he wasn’t that interested. Eventually, we exchanged numbers, he invited me over, and the rest, as they say, is history.
