Chris and Ashlee first crossed paths at Texas State University. Though they never dated back then, their friendship left a lasting impression. After graduation, life took them in different directions — but they never truly lost touch, thanks to social media. Years later, Chris decided to make his move the modern way — by sliding into Ashlee’s DMs. What started as casual messages quickly turned into heartfelt conversations, and before long, those late-night chats became something much more. For about a year, they braved the miles between Dallas and San Antonio, turning road trips, weekend visits, and endless phone calls into the foundation of their relationship. Eventually, their love led them to put down roots together, buy a home, and welcome their greatest blessing — their daughter, Marlee. On Christmas Eve of 2023, surrounded by the warmth (and chaos) of family, Chris got down on one knee and asked Ashlee to spend forever with him. She ugly cried and then said “yes!” Now, Ashlee, Chris, and Marlee are excited to celebrate this next step in their journey with all the people they love most.
