Known as SoCo by the locals, if you are looking for local boutique shopping, this is the street for you!
Barton Springs is a local swimming hole in the heart of the city. There are two options: Barton Springs Pool ($3, if you say you are an Austin resident ;) and the free side, which is dog friendly and little more lively. The free side can also be accessed by a nice kayak ride down the lake and through the springs!
Scenic overlook of Lake Austin
Magical, Mystical, Enchanted: Climb the ancient dome for amazing Hill Country views. The massive pink granite dome rising above Central Texas has drawn people for thousands of years. But there's more at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area than just the dome. The scenery, rock formations and legends are magical, too! About 1.5-2 drive from Austin.
One of the better Central Texas vineyards...about an hour outside Austin!
Great little retreat for a day trick. Surrounded by vineyards, creeks, shops, and dinners, there is a little something for everyone!
A great but chilly swimming hole out in Wimberly. Take a day trip to Wimberly, stop at a vineyard, go swimming and finish it off with dinner at the Leaning Pear!
From killer breakfast Taco's to Tex-Mex Barbecue, Valentina's has you covered!
The second restaurant of James Beard award winning chef, Tyson Cole. A pricey dinner but one you won't soon forget! Arielle's favorite restaurant in town...
Barley Swine by Bryce Gilmore, a James Beard finalist, is a must stop for the carnivores. When one thinks of farm to table dinning, this is what they dream of.
Great Italian food with an even better atmosphere. Surrounded by a beautiful vineyard and next door to beautiful wine cellar/tasting room, Trattoria is a great option for some vino followed by dinner and more vino!
With delicious drinks and a great happy hour, as well as entrees, this is one of our favorites dining spots in Austin.
Great Tapas, need we say more?
