Dying to Know

The Wedding Website of Abigail Gjurich and Christopher Gordon
Question

What's the attire?

Answer

Our wedding falls on Halloween when the veil is thin, and we want the drama of the night to shine. Come in dark elegance (black tie optional) or in a Halloween costume, but either way, please go all out! Bring the full glamour, mystery, and magic. We want gowns beside ghouls, tuxes with witches, and maybe there'll even be a Darth Vader sitting next to Abigail's Baba.

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony is currently planned to take place outdoors in the field beneath the October sky. Please choose your footwear wisely (the earth has little mercy for stilettos) and consider bringing a cloak, shawl, jacket, or other favored layer for the evening chill. Fear not: should the weather summon rain, we do have contingency plans in place. The ritual will proceed rain or shine.

Question

What airport / train station is closest?

Answer

Those brave enough to journey to our haunted celebration may arrive by air through Albany International Airport, the nearest gateway to the cursed mountains, roughly 1.5 hours from Margaretville, with plentiful rental car options awaiting beyond the veil. Travelers arriving by rail may disembark at the Hudson or Rhinecliff Amtrak stations, each about an hour’s journey through the winding Catskill roads. A warning to weary souls: Margaretville rests deep within the remote, mountainous shadows of the Catskills, where public transit is scarce and the roads grow dark and lonely.

Question

Is parking available at the Margaretville Mountain Inn?

Answer

Fear not, weary travelers, Margaretville Mountain Inn offers ample parking within its sprawling field, with plenty of room for carriages, hearses, and other mortal vehicles.

Question

Will there be ghosts?

Answer

yes.
