Willow Rock Brewing Company
Recently expanded local brewery just outside the SU campus. Nora recommends Brunch. Chris recommends the ExBEERimental series. We both recommend just about everything there. There is usually a food truck outside if you want dinner as well. Also dog friendly!
Owera Vineyards
One of our very favorite places and the site of our engagement party. The wine is excellent and the food is amazing too! The staff are some of the best people we've ever dealt with and are especially great to those of us who are Club O members. Spectacular views in the summer and fall and cozy inside in the winter!
The Fish Friar
Fresh Maine-caught seafood - won first place in the Winterfest Chowder cook-off for their New England Clam Chowder. Phenomenal seafood and awesome rotating beer list.
Rosamond Gifford Zoo
One of Nora's favorite places in Syracuse - all of the Fleming family are members! It's a small zoo but they do great things with the space they have. Open 10:00 am - 4:30 pm 362 days a year.
Beak & Skiff Apple Hill Campus & 1911 Tasting Room
One of the best places in the area for apple picking! We bought honeycrisp apple trees from them last season to plant at our house. On the campus there is a general store/bakery where you can get fresh cider donuts (you should ABSOLUTELY get fresh cider donuts) a cafe, and a tasting room/distillery where you can try their hard ciders and spirits (their gin and cold brew coffee vodka are favorites) and sometimes they have live music as well!
Green Lakes State Park
Two beautiful lakes surrounded by 15 miles of trails and an 18-hole golf course. Park is open 8am to 4pm daily with golf course availability depending on weather.
Carrier Dome
SU men's basketball exhibition game vs. Daemen College on Saturday 10/26 if you have time after the wedding!
Frightmare Farms
If you're a Halloween fan you should check this out. One of the groom's friends Aaron Caza is the Director/Haunt Manager of this multiple award winning attraction.
The Oncenter War Memorial Arena
If you're in town until Sunday you can catch a hockey game at the War Memorial. Syracuse Crunch vs. Toronto Marlies at 5pm
