Christopher Barr: Born and raised in Manhattan, New York City. Currently living in Albany, New York where I completed my degree in Psychology at the University at Albany. I work as a recruiter for a cleaning agency. And my hobbies include trying new and different cuisine, reading, and working out. Kiera Edwards: Born and raised in Greenburgh, New York. Currently living in between Albany and Greenburgh as I am completing my degree in business at the University at Albany. I am currently a full time student. And my hobbies include listening to music, dancing, watching Netflix, and learning about self care. Both are class of 2023!!!

The first weekend of school, Christopher was on his way to enjoy some first week festivities. He saw on Snapchat that Kiera was also on her way there with a few of her acquaintances. Christopher decided it would probably be better to go there as a group so he decided to text her on Snapchat. And they met at the bus stop where Christopher tried to break some of the awkward tension by being cool calm and collected. Fortunately, his calm demeanor was something that Kiera thought was cute and the rest is history.

Kiera was on her way to a party downtown with her roommate when Christopher texted her on Snapchat asking if they were going to the same party. She said yes and they decided to meet at the bus stop. At this point it was only Kiera, Christopher, and his friend. For Kiera, it was awkward because she was alone with two young men in a city she was not familiar with. However, Christopher was very calm, kind, and protective. After hours of getting lost downtown (with Christopher's directions), we went back to campus where Chris offered to walk Kiera to her dorm. They ended up walking around campus and talking until 2AM and the rest was history.

Christopher proposed just 8 days after their 3rd anniversary by having a reservation made at Red Lobster for a corner table. One of Christopher’s friends walked by and Christopher asked him to take a picture, which turned out to be a recording where Christopher would say that he would love to continue life with Kiera as his wife and he took the knee. Needless to say after her long reaction... Kiera said Yes.

We can't wait to celebrate with you at our wedding ceremony and reception in September!
