Although Kailee and Chris both attended Center Grove High School, their paths never crossed until they were introduced through mutual friends. At the time, Kailee was a high school senior planning to attend Franklin College, while Chris was already a college sophomore there. Their mutual friends thought it was the perfect opportunity for them to finally meet and insisted on planning a double date. Their first time meeting took place on a New Year’s Eve double date at Margaritas, and from that night on, it was clear there was something special between them. Even though nearly a month passed before they saw each other again in person, they stayed connected through countless late-night FaceTime calls, often talking until 1 or 2 a.m. In those conversations, they quickly grew close, both still a little nervous and shy. A few weeks later, Chris planned their first official date at the movies, and before long, weekend hangouts, date nights, and movie marathons became the norm. By March of 2019, they officially became a couple and began building a relationship rooted in laughter, friendship, and genuine love. Kailee quickly fell in love with Chris’s goofy personality and kind heart, while Chris admired Kailee’s warmth and caring nature. As they both attended Franklin College, they enjoyed sharing classes and spending time together throughout their days on campus. Whether it was walking to class, studying in the library, or fitting in the occasional Flap Jack’s breakfast date between lectures, it was often the simple moments they shared that meant the most. Those days were filled with easy conversation, plenty of laughter, and memories that would become some of their favorites. After college, Kailee and Chris continued to grow side by side, navigating new chapters, new routines, and the excitement of building a life together. They moved in together, got their first dog, traveled, celebrated holidays, visited family, attended sporting events, and created countless memories along the way. Through it all, their love only grew stronger, shaped by years of support, laughter, and unwavering commitment. After nearly six and a half years together, Chris proposed to Kailee in a beautiful, secluded spot in Martinsville, Indiana. It was a moment filled with love, joy, and the promise of forever, marking the beginning of their next chapter together and a lifetime of adventures still to come.
