Eliza and I met in middle school and have pretty much been inseparable since. We used to have sleepovers that ended up lasting a week or two at times. She is truly an amazing friend and I always feel lucky to know her.

Emily and I met in gym class in the 7th grade and have been besties ever since. We used to always stay up late to rearrange our rooms, paint nails, and all the other amazingly obnoxious things kids do. We still do just about all of these today and probably always will. She is the most kindhearted person I have met and am so grateful she is in my life.

Katelyn and I had a rough start when we met in middle school due to rumors of one another wanting to fight. It evidently turned out that was not the case and we instantly became friends. Kate is a true ride or die and I would not trade that for the world.

Susanna and I met our freshmen year of College as random roommates. We instantly bonded over our shared passions like music, food, and hating our other roommate. She is an amazing person through and through and it truly shows through her friendship.

Katelyn and I met through a mutual friend in highschool and instantly became besties. Although Kate is constantly traveling all over the country, we always make time to hang out. Whether it be drinks, and impromptu photo shoot, or whatever we always have a blast together.

Nicole and I met through a mutual friend in highschool and have been close ever since. She is the type of friend who is always looking out for your best interest and loves with her whole heart. I feel truly special to have a friend like her.

Sara-elah is my younger cousin who is on her way to becoming a beautiful and brilliant young woman. She is very passionate about the environment, community, family, and friends. She has accomplished so much at such a young age, it is truly inspiring.

Alex has been my best friend for years. We met before I came to Parkside through a mutual friend and instantly clicked (and hugged). We have spent hours surfing , fishing , and of course partying together, we have been roommates on multiple occasions and normally if you see one of us the other isn’t far behind. I’m not sure what I would’ve done without a friend like Alex, to be honest he is more like a brother. Some people come and go in your life but we have been inseparable since 2012 and I don’t see that ending anytime soon. I couldn’t have picked a better Best Man.

Tolan is like my little brother who grew up to be bigger than me. I have known him since he was a kid and we have spent many a night riding around through elk creek and dear harbor having long conversations about life. When you have a close friend like that it makes the hard times not as bad. He has been there whenever I need advice or a good laugh.What a guy
Ryan Shannahan

Ryan and I have known each other since high school but really didn’t become close until we moved in together in 2019. We spent quarantine together and through that he became one of my best friends. Now that quarantine is over we still hang out every week watching football or basketball together. If that’s not on rest assured Ryan will bring over madden so we don’t have to go a night without. Ryan has made a huge effort to make this wedding special for me and i appreciate every bit of it

I will never forget the awkward encounter that led to me and dae becoming instant friends. When I came to Parkside I didn’t know anyone and Dae reached out and we have hung out every since. We have been to Europe , we have been to music festivals, tried good food together , and we still never get sick of each other. Dae has shared his culture with me and in return I shared football and basketball (I got the better end of that deal). I’m so excited you will be standing up behind me at the alter.

What can I say. My dad has done everything he could for me since I was born. I was a groomsmen in his wedding and now he has to return the favor. Our relationship has blossomed from father - son to that of best friends. We spend time together every week getting lunch or having a beer or just riding around. This being said , even though I’m older now I will always think of him of my Dad and I’m honored to have him standing with me.

John and I got off to a rough start. A couple years ago I was not the person I am today but John was able to see through that and give me a second chance. Now I consider John one of my closest friends. John and I can talk for hours about sports , travel , or what the next cool thing we are all going to do is. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me , especially my bachelor party. I am so glad we have become as close as we are now and wouldn’t trade it for the world. I can’t wait to get crazy with you on Hallie and I’s special day.

Gavon and I originally new each other because we were supposed to fight. Luckily that didn’t happen and a friendship came out of it instead. We have been teammates , roommates , and drinking buddies, there’s probably not a bar in town we haven’t been to together. Not too many people are left from our original friend group but I’m proud to say from the day I moved to parkside until now Gavon has always been there for me. Thank you for celebrating my special day with me
Brent DeMartin

Brent and I were friends years ago but unfortunately he moved to Pennsylvania and we didn’t see each other for a while. Now that he is back we have instantly reconnected and started our friendship where it left off. Brent is someone I can talk to about anything and he is always able to give me good advice no matter what we are talking about. He has always been a big supporter of my relationship with Hallie, and even helped convince me to text her to reconnect. It is truly an honor to have Brent as a groomsmen and I hope he had as much fun as I did in Fort Lauderdale.
