Chris and Carolina met the modern way: online dating. Carolina had strictly set up her online account to a 50 mile radius and so had Chris. Although they both lived over 100 miles away from each other, fate brought them together and they matched. When setting up their first date, Chris found out Carolina did not live in Phoenix but lived in Tucson. This did not stop Chris from wanting to meet Carolina and a few days later, he traveled to Tucson to meet the love of his life. Their first date was magical and there was an instant connection. After a couple dates together, the couple shared their first kiss at a Safeway parking lot, how romantic! The couple spent the following year going on many dates, trying different foods, dancing at weddings, traveling together, and enjoying every minute together. After their first year of dating, the couple decided to move in together and Carolina took a job in Phoenix. The proposal: Chris and Carolina traveled to Cancun for a friend's wedding and finished the trip in the beautiful city of Guadalajara, AKA Carolina's favorite city. Chris traveled with the ring waiting for the perfect moment to propose. That moment came before heading out to dinner on the rooftop that overlooked the Templo Expiatorio de Guadalajara. Chris got on one knee and said beautiful words in Spanish, while Carolina cried (ugly crying) and anxiously said "Sí" ························ Chris y Carolina se conocieron en una “dating app”, muy modernos los dos. Carolina había puesto en su aplicación que no quería conocer chicos fuera de su ciudad y Chris había hecho lo mismo. Pero el destino les tenia algo preparado y por casualidades de la vida sus cuentas se encontraron e hicieron “match”. Cuando Chris se dio cuenta que Carolina no vivía en Phoenix, no le importo y decidió viajar a Tucson a conocer a la que pronto se convertiría en el amor de su vida. Su primera cita fue muy especial y hubo una conexión inmediata. Y después de dos citas la pareja compartió su primer beso en un estacionamiento de la tienda Safeway, de lo más romántico. El primer año de su relación fue perfecto (y lo sigue siendo). La pareja paso su primer año de noviazgo yendo a muchísimas citas, comiendo comida deliciosa, viajando juntos, bailando en bodas; ya que Carolina es super popular y no se pierde ningún evento… y disfrutando cada instante que pasaban juntos. La propuesta de matrimonio: la pareja viajo a Cancún a una boda, después del evento decidieron hacer una parada en Guadalajara, ya que es la ciudad favorita de Carolina. Chris viajo con el anillo esperando el momento perfecto para proponerle matrimonio. El último día de viaje, en la terraza con vistas al Templo Expiatorio de Guadalajara, así como de película, Chris se arrodillo y le hizo una de las preguntas más importantes a Carolina (cabe aclarar que le pregunto en Español) y ella llorando le contestó que “Sí"
