Flight Information

The wedding will be in our hometown Sparti, Lakonia Greece! For those flying in to celebrate with us, the closest airport is Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos, nestled in Athens. From there, it's a scenic 240 km drive to Sparti, where the magic happens. You've got options to make your grand entrance – hop on a bus or book a rental car. We recommend you book your flights in advance :)

Car Rental Information

Car n' Motion Rent a Car: When you arrive at the airport, you'll find various car rental options available. However, some may require a large deposit to book. From our personal experience, we recommend using Car’n Motion, an app that collaborates with all rental companies. With this app, you can book directly without a deposit requirement and pick up and drop off the car at the airport. Be sure to download the app and book through it for an extra discount. Please contact us before you book, as we may have discount coupons available to provide you with.

Bus Information

Upon your arrival at the airport, your next step is to catch a city bus to reach the intercity bus station, KTEL KIFISOU, from where you'll board a second bus to Sparti. Bus X93 (Athens Airport - KTEL Kifissou): This route connects the airport to the Intercity Bus Station. Each journey typically lasts about 65 minutes, with buses departing every 40 minutes. You can purchase your ticket from a kiosk outside the airport, close to the bus station. For more details, visit the website: Athens Airport Bus - X93 Timetable At the Intercity Bus Station: Upon arrival, proceed to purchase your ticket (I'll likely arrange this in advance by phone). The ticket should be from Athens to Sparti, and the staff will direct you to the correct bus. Upon reaching Sparti, either myself or a member of my family will be there to pick you up.

Accommodation

In Sparti, a quaint and walkable city, you'll find some hotels conveniently situated for exploring on foot. However, if you're keen on visiting the historic Mystras castle and surrounding villages, booking a hotel in Mystras might be ideal. This option is particularly recommended if you have access to a car; otherwise, sticking to Sparti and using taxis or buses to reach Mystras is more practical. Here are some recommended hotels in both areas, but don't hesitate to explore Airbnb and Booking.com as there will be plenty of additional options.
