Please don't pretend like you weren't wondering about this. The short answer is yes. The longer answer is that it's beer and wine only. The venue is not licensed to sell liquor in Maine. But we've arranged some specialty cocktails and flown in (not really) some preferred brews. There will be something for everyone! Gratuity included.
Unless you are my 1 year old nephew reading this (he's wicked smaht so I wouldn't put it past him), then no.* We want everyone to have fun and be able to let loose! Plus your kid will totally get stepped on on the dance floor. Even the ring-bearer is being sent home after dinner. *A few exceptions made as noted on invitations.
Stone Mountain has amazing food - you will not be disappointed! Cocktail hour will have plenty of apps and dinner will be buffet-style. There will be something for everyone - vegetarians, meat lovers, and all those in between. Ginny is even making us get seafood. Gross. But we're leaving the actual menu a surprise!
We do, damnit! Lay off.
YES! The roads of Maine are windy and dark this time of year - we want everyone to be safe and have fun! Buses will run from the hotels in North Conway to the reception and back. Note: transportation will not be provided to the church, but you will have plenty of time to get there and back prior to the reception.
For the ceremony and reception, we recommend semi-formal attire. No need for ball gowns and tuxes (unless you feel inclined), but don't be that guy in jeans and sneakers either, please.
