Vandy brought us together! It's a gorgeous campus so walk around if you have some free time. Food in this area: Hattie B's Hot Chicken, Barcelona, Old Glory, Desano Pizza Bakery (best pizza ever), Tavern.
Welcome to Hillsboro Village! This street is a favorite of Vandy and Belmont students. There are tons of cute shops, cafes, and restaurants here. Some of our favorite food options include: Kaybobs, McDougals, Fido, and Jenis Ice Cream, and Biscuit Love.
We love walking up and down 12th South and visiting the stores, eating BBQ, getting paletas, and lounging in Sevier Park. Restaurants in this area: Edley's BBQ, Jeni's Ice Cream, Las Paletas, Bar Taco, Burger Up, Epice, Five Daughters Donuts
Located in Centennial Park, the Parthenon was built to mark Nashville as the "Athens of the South" during the 1897 World's Fair. We had many dates here and we both enjoyed going on long walks around the park. Food in this area: Rotier's (get the hashbrown casserole!) and Samurai Sushi.
A trip to Nashville is incomplete without an adventure down Broadway. This is where the (touristy) famous part of Music City comes into play. Visit ALL the Honky Tonks during the day or at night and find amazing music, good dancing, and a great time. Watch out for Bachelorette and Bachelor Parties! Venues we like: The Stage, Honky Tonk Central, Tin Roof, Acme, Robert's Western World, and Tootsie's.
A quieter, more residential side to Nashville. A nice variety of relaxed, yet upscale restaurants and bar options. We recommend: Butchertown Hall, Barista Parlor, Cupcake Collection, Monell's, Rolf & Daughters, Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint, 5th and Taylor, Von Elrod's Beer Hall, Henrietta Red
Gorgeous place for a bike ride, walk, or run and to escape the city for a bit. The walk around the perimeter of the lake is about Good for a quick or long excursion!
Another great option for a little nature while you're in Nashville. A really great option to get away for a run, walk, or hike.
