Tim and Christine met just before she was headed to Iceland/Denmark for a month in 2019. When Christine returned all it took was a bonfire with Tims friends and she was convinced they would shortly became inseparable (even 180 miles apart). It was on a hot August day, when Christine & Tim were at a Twins game (with a few of Tims dearest friends), where he asked her to be his girlfriend--- it was probably the hour they were stuck in an elevator at Target Field that really convinced him to make it official.

Christine found a deal for flights to Denver, thinking that she hadn't been back to the small mountain town where her grandparents spent many of their winters AND Tim had yet to experience the Rocky Mountains-- and just like that flights were booked! Once they landed, they were fully prepared for mud season, but did not expect themselves to be met with a blizzard in the mountains. After a very quiet car ride (out of sheer panic), Christine and Tim finally made it to their Airbnb in Winter Park and began to plan out the events for the next day. Christine (the planner) woke up slightly bummed about the 8 inches of snow, unsure of what they would do for the day, because they hadn't planned for all the snow! Tim recommended we try Elk Meadow Trail which was in Fraser (a town just a few minutes from where they were staying). As they were hiking, taking in the serene mountain scape, breathing in the thinner air they approached the fork in the trail, Tim had the idea to take a picture and capture the moment. Crabbily, Christine said, "Why?" but Tim was already setting up his phone on a near by sign. He quickly walked back to make it in time, but Christine never saw the light blinking as the count down before the photo was taken. So he went back, adjusted the setting and tried again...but still no light flashing....until Christine turned and looked and Tim was down on one knee.
