Boulevard Brewing Company
Boulevard has a great selection of beer to sample, and a wonderfully large facility to tour. Tours are only $5, but make sure to plan ahead and get there early in the day so you don't miss out.
The Roasterie
The Roasterie is Kansas City's own air-roasted coffee factory. If you love coffee, this $5 tour is a must! You can't miss the building as it's directly beneath the airplane on the roof!
KC Live! (aka Power & Light)
Named after the local power company, Power & Light is an enclosed city block of two-story buildings featuring restaurants and bars of all kinds. If you're looking to party with the locals, you've found the right place!
City Market
The city market is a large farmer's market downtown. In addition to finding fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables, there are many places to eat breakfast or lunch, and independent vendors selling unique items. While you're there, check out the Arabia Steamboat Museum or eat lunch at Minsky's Pizza, a local favorite.

Christopher Elbow is a gourmet chocolatier whose signature chocolate bon bons are almost too pretty to eat. Stop by for a few treats and a gift box to take home with you.
