After meeting through work, a friendship quickly blossomed when Christine asked Peter to join her annual Christmas day skiing tradition in 2019. Soon after they were doing everything together. From skiing, to watching sports, to doing escape rooms and going on adventures in downtown Sacramento. They became nearly inseparable. When the shutdown occurred, Christine invited Peter to stay with her since they would both be quarantining alone. After just a month, they realized that their relationship was destined for more than friendship and on April 11 started dating. Despite all the turmoil and uncertainty of 2020, they became each other’s rocks and biggest cheerleaders. With a quarantine relationship and seeing each other 24/7, they realized that they were meant for each other and their relationship grew quicker than they could have ever imagined. After only a few months, they had discussed marriage, buying a house, and adopted their foster dog, Kona. On March 21, 2021 Peter proposed to Christine by hiding the engagement ring inside an ‘Escape Room in a Box’ puzzle and through teary eyes, Christine emphatically said yes. They are excited to see what the future holds and cannot wait to have their friends and family join them in celebrating their love on June 5, 2021.
