Christine and Mike met through a dating site called Match.com. It was through this site they were matched and kept popping up as "possible connection". Though it is not certain who reached out first, eventually contact was made and nature took it's course. After about a week of messaging back and forth, the decision was made to meet for the first time, but this date almost turned into a disaster. Earlier that day, Christine had spent the day at the lake ridding a wave runner with her family and when she got home, she wasn't feeling like going out. Mike on the other hand, was ready for this adventure and preparing for the unknown. It was time. Mike texted Christine to let her know he was on his way, and Christine inadvertently messaged her brother Michael asking what he was talking about. After a few minutes Christine remembered "the date" and wanted to cancel due to her excessive fun-in-the-sun activities. But from a little convincing from her mother Yvonne, Christine finally text Mike back and said casually "Running a little late, but can't wait!". After waiting a little time, Christine finally showed, and the two meet in a strip mall parking lot in Acton with smiles and excitement. They continued their date inside a local dive bar where smiles, laughs and a lot of awkwardness pursued. The bar eventually closed and the two continued to their cars slowly finding reasons to keep the conversation going. Mike finally took the chance and asked Christine to dinner, but with a twist. Mike had asked her to have dinner at his home where, in his head, he would cook a wonderful meal and show off his culinary skills and woo the girl. Christine accepted Mike's invitation and offered to bring some wine and dessert. They hugged each other and agreed the time spent together for those few hours were fun. Finally Mike and Christine went their separate ways with anxiousness about what was going to happen next. Little did they know what was to become of this first date.
