Matt and Christine met in the summer of 2015 when they were both living in Manayunk, Philadelphia. Having matched on the dating app, Hinge, they decided to meet after chatting for a few weeks and had their first date at Whirled Peace (Matt's first experience with self serve frozen yogurt). They immediately hit it off with their love for the Eagles, sense of humor, and outgoing nature. Since their first date, they have conquered so much together—moving half way across the country to their current home of Austin, TX, bringing in a sweet golden retriever in to their family, and now getting married! They are so excited what the future may bring and cannot wait to celebrate with all of the people that they love the most.

Matt had told Christine that he had made reservations at a Mexican restaurant that one of his clients had recommended (and told Christine about the reservation a few weeks in advance which was definitely not like Matt to do). The night they were going to get dinner, Matt snuck out of the apartment and put a bottle of wine in the car. When Christine asked where he went when he ran out so suddenly, he told her the restaurant was BYO and that he wanted to put a bottle of wine in the car so we did not forget it. (Fact, there are no BYO's in Texas ;) On the way to the restaurant, Matt ended up pulling in to a private air strip where he told Christine that they weren't in fact not going to dinner but taking a plane ride around Austin as an early birthday present for her. They took photos in front of the plane before takeoff and then proceeded to take flight and tour the city of Austin. Mid flight, Matt received a signal from the pilot that it was now time to go ahead with the plan they set before we took off. Matt gave him a subtle thumbs up, reached in to his pocket, and proposed to Christine over Lake Travis. After composing herself (crying endlessly with happiness) she said yes and they rode in to the sunset, now engaged and overjoyed.
