As Mr. Teb always says-- everything always happens for a reason. Our destiny began with the decision to celebrate New Year's Eve 2017 in Tampa, FL. Christine had spontaneously booked a flight to see her friend Amanda, and Kyle decided to join his crew at the much talked about Rooftop Eve Event in downtown Tampa. As the ladies were getting ready in their NYE attire, Amanda chuckled that perhaps this was the night that Christine would meet her husband (as she was always looking for ways to convince Christine to move to Tampa). Shortly after arriving at the event Kyle and Christine had casually been introduced by Amanda in a quick meet and greet. At that moment eyes were locked and smiles were exchanged--- it was the beginning of a wonderful year to come. The couple later reunited by the mini-donut and champagne table, as Christine gracefully snacked (or as Kyle would state aggressively chomped) on sugary delights they gazed at the stars over the Tampa skyline getting to know each other. The following night Kyle asked Christine out to dinner, given that it was Mexican food she said yes. Even without the champagne, there was never a pause in conversation. It was an evening that created amazing memories-- but ended on a sad note as Christine had to return to NYC the following day. The love however continued to blossom, the two continued to text, skype and even had phone calls until Kyle made a trip out to NYC a month later for date #2! The weekend was perfect in every sense and was the kick-off to our jet-setting relationship. Kyle and Christine would rotate between FL and NYC every couple of weeks (it might have been more cost efficient to purchase a private jet) sprinkling trips to new destinations along the way, including our beloved city of Savannah. We are both so grateful for the 1st chapter of our beautiful love story and cannot wait to embark upon what's next!
The weekend of October 5th 2018, Kyle had asked Christine to drive to Ft. Lauderdale with him for a work conference. Things took a bit of a twist when Kyle surprised her by taking her to the airport instead and detouring Ft. Lauderdale to Turks & Caicos. A place that neither of the two had been, but one that they were excited to explore. The resort was immaculate, with lush greenery and vibrant flowers everywhere you turned. The concierge greeted guests with the most delicious green juice and a shot of Caribbean rum on the side. The villa had views of the multiple pools and of course the turquoise blue Caribbean sea. It was a pinch-your-self setting! On the 2nd night of their stay Kyle brought Christine out to the beach for a walk before dinner. As they came up to the secluded area of the beach Christine noticed a beautiful set up with lanterns, candles and champagne (Veuve Clicquot Rose her favorite). At that moment thoughts began to set in for Christine but Kyle remained calm. He gently took her hand and shared that they were there for more than just a vacation. As he got down on one knee the entire world felt like it didn't exist, it was just the two of them in that moment. He shared his heart and asked Christine to share life with him.... which brings us to why this celebration will be occurring on 10/19/2019-- see you there!
