How we met

6/23/2010

They were set up by a friend of Christine's, but Christine didn't know it was a set-up, her girlfriend didn't tell her. See, before Christine arrived at the SLO Down Pub to listen to the band that he was drumming with, her girlfriend walked up to Kevin and asked if he was single. She said she had a girlfriend that she would like to introduce him to. During the course of the evening he was hoping it was her. So, while the band was on a break, he asked if he could sit next to her at her table. As they were talking, he thought this was the woman that he is supposed to meet, while she's thinking "who's this cute guy talking to me?". The next day, and often, Kevin inquired as to her phone number from Christine's friend who set them up. but Christine politely kept declining. She would not give out her phone number because she's a romantic and felt if they were meant to go out, then they would have to meet by chance again, and so they eventually did - three months later! They went on their first date on 10/22/10, to the SLO Down Pub where she found out to her surprise that there first meeting three months prior was a set-up. Kevin thought she knew it was a set-up, but her girlfriend never told Christine that it indeed was! It all went pretty well, obviously, since they're getting married on their seven year anniversary!

The Proposal

10/22/15

When Kevin wanted to propose to Christine, he went to her son Tyler and asked for his help. Tyler at the time was part of his high school's dance troupe, and Tyler was instrumental in convincing the teacher and classmates to choreograph a flashmob dance in order for Kevin to propose to Christine on their 5-yr anniversary. So, while the two of them were enjoying some time together on the Avila Beach pier, to Christine's delight she heard some of her favorite music off in the distance. As they started walking towards the music, she noticed that Tyler and his classmates were dressed up in formal wear while dancing - and instantly knew what was about to happen! After the Bruno Mars song, Marry Me, was done playing, he came up thru the middle of the dancers and got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. She said YES!! Yay God!......oh thank goodness. :-) 1, 2, 3, aww!
