The island of Key West is about 4 miles long and 1 mile wide — small enough to explore easily but full of charm and things to do!
Getting Around:
The island is drivable, and you can get from one end to the other in about 20 minutes. We recommend renting a golf cart or car to explore at your own pace. Rideshare options like Uber and Lyft are also available throughout the island.
Arriving in Key West:
Key West has its own airport (EYW) — fun fact: it’s one of the smallest airports in the country! ✈️
There are direct flights from Washington, D.C. (DCA) that take about 3 hours.
Alternatively, you can fly into Miami (MIA) and take a short 1-hour flight to Key West.
The airport is conveniently located just 2 miles from the Beachside Resort, where we’ll be staying.
