Where is the wedding venue?

Is there a dress code?

We kindly ask that you wear formal attire—suits and ties, cocktail attire, please.

Are children invited?

Answer

This will be an adults-only event, and we kindly ask that no children attend. We hope you take this as an opportunity for a fun date night with your partner! We hope you understand and can still celebrate with us.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited. If you received a plus one it will be addressed on your invitation and RSVP card. Thank you for understanding!

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is valet parking available at the Book Tower at a flat rate of $30. It is $50/night for those staying overnight at ROOST Detroit (the hotel located inside Book Tower). There are also a number of parking lots and garages around the downtown area including: Z Park Garage (Z Lot) 1234 Library St, Detroit, MI 48226 (6 minute walk to venue) Kennedy Square Garage 720 Griswold St, Detroit, MI 48226 (7 minute walk to venue)

What time should I arrive? What is the timeline of events?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30PM. Please plan to arrive between 5:00-5:15PM. Please also allow extra time for parking downtown if applicable. Cocktail hour will immediately follow the reception, at 6:00PM, and will be held at the Book Tower’s Kamper's rooftop bar. Dinner will be served in the ballroom at 7:30.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place within the Book Tower. Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors on the 13th floor. Weather permitting, cocktail hour will take place at the indoor/outdoor Kamper's Rooftop Lounge. If the weather does not cooperate, cocktail hour will be moved to Bar Rotunda in the lobby of the Book Tower.

What is an "unplugged" ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you kindly put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony as we want you all to be present with us in the moment. We have a professional photographer capturing the ceremony for us. Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like.
