We met at Pig and Parrot in Hoboken on a Football Sunday. James was living in Astoria and visiting some friends in Hoboken and we were both were lucky enough that we ended up at the same bar. Our tables were very close to each other and as the day went on we ended up right next to one another and he got the courage and started a convo. We had so much in common and ended up talking the whole day until it was dark out. We booked our first date that night and the rest was history. We both knew from the start that this was different and something very special. We started dating doing semi-long distance for about a year and a half until we got an apartment together in Astoria. We live here now with our dog Eze.

We were getting ready to leave the next day to start a vacation with family so James had suggested we go out to dinner so we didn't need to cook that night. We went to one of our favorite restaurants in Astoria and just had a really relaxing meal and got to spend some time with each other. Little did I know that James' brother and his brother's girlfriend were in our apt decorating. It was really beautiful and so thoughtful. There were rose petals and candles all over the floor and a sign saying "will you marry me". Our dog Eze had a little bandana on it saying "will you marry my dad". It was just so intimate and just so us. It is one of our favorite moments in our relationship. We spent the night just us drinking champagne and talked about all the details. We spoke to our families that night and then the next day we popped the bubble and told everyone which was very exciting but a little overwhelming! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
