We have reserved specific rooms for all of our guests. In your formal wedding invitation it will state the name of your room. Please call Lydia Mountain Lodge at (434)985-6343. Let them know you are a guest of Drew Kudrick and Christine Columbia. Give them the name of the lodge room or cabin found in your wedding invitation. Lydia Mountain will then send you a specific code to access your cabin.
Lydia mountain lodge is in a remote location in the Shenandoah Mountains. Located in the lodge is the Bearrr Appetit restaurant. The restaurant will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you are staying in one of the cabins you will have a full kitchen and the option to bring food.
The dress code for our wedding day is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.
We want our out of town guests to know how the month of June usually feels like in Virginia. The weather will most likely be between 70-80 degrees, but can dip into the 60s at night. Humidity is a mystery on the east coast, could be muggy, but fingers crossed it's not!
If weather permits, outdoors. The ceremony will take place on a wooded deck overlooking the blue ridge mountains. The cocktail hour and reception will be indoors.
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the mezzanine for cocktail hour.
We recommend you arrive during day light. Lydia mountain can be challenging to discern at night time. We will be up in the mountains with no street lights and unpaved mountain roads.
If you are staying in one of the cabins you will have a private hot tub. Please back a bathing suit to enjoy!
