Our story began in 2017 at UCSD, where Christine first met Deyran while working at the school's catering company. She noticed him right away, thinking he was cute but that he never made eye contact with her. She assumed he wasn't interested, but little did she know that he was just shy and a bit intimidated by her sweet (and slightly sassy) charm. As they spent more time working together, Christine quickly realized how kind, easygoing, and caring he was. One day after class, Christine extended a small, thoughtful gesture when she noticed that Deyran looked tired and offered him the rest of her coffee. This gave Deyran the perfect opening to ask her out on their first date, where he repaid the gesture by taking her to her favorite coffee shop. As they walked around La Jolla Cove, they talked for hours and watched the ocean waves together, marking the beginning of a truly special journey together.

Fast forward eight years, and on May 17, 2023, Deyran proposed to Christine at the tidepools in Point Loma. With the ocean behind them and their future excitedly ahead, Christine gave a heartfelt yes! After three challenging years of applying to PA school, Christine was accepted into her dream program in the Bay Area, where she's now pursuing a dual Master's in Public Health and Physician Assistant Studies. Around the same time, Deyran began job hunting nearby and, after a few months, accepted his dream job offer as a clinical research coordinator at UCSF. On June 14, 2024, Christine and Deyran made it official with an intimate courthouse ceremony before relocating to the Bay Area to start this exciting new chapter together with their dog child, Hazel. Life since then has been a whirlwind—but through all of the ups and downs, Christine and Deyran strive to support each other with unwavering love, humility, and gratitude for all of God's blessings. They make the most of every moment together—spending their free time watching movies, exploring the outdoors, and hiking with Hazel. They thank God time and again for showing them that His plans are always better than anything they could have ever imagined! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with you all.
