Man of Honor
The greatest gift their parents gave Keith and Christine was each other. They have been ridiculously close for all their lives, with the exception of those times in which they wanted to kill each other. And they wouldn’t have it any other way. Having a language of their own, Keith and Christine’s bond has grown more and more as years go by. Both going into arts professions—Keith into television and film production and Christine into theatre—the two have a keen interest in all things creative. They also have a knack for driving their mother crazy, witty banter, and bird-calling each other from across Target. Christine can contact Keith for anything and he is the friend she goes to first when things get tough. Together with Mama Hopkins they make the Three Musketeers.

Eric has always been that neighbor that you can continuously rely on to be there for you. He is also the guy that will ask you if you want to go jump out of a plane tomorrow.

Let's set the stage...it's 2002 at Monroe-Woodbury High School when Christine (Hopkins) and Steve (Hunt) are seated alphabetically in their 10th grade biology class. Fast forward to many years of alphabetical placements in many classes and you get two very good friends. Steve is Christine's brother-from-another-mother. The kind of bond in which he knows Christine's most embarrassing childhood nicknames and will tell everyone just to see how embarrassed she gets. Steve and Christine also went to college together, both worked in/moved to NYC in 2009, and continue to visit each other frequently in Florida and New York as their friendship has grown into adulthood. It's been 19 years and Steve has been there with and for Christine through it all -- life, loss, and laughter.

Brother and friend. Nate will always be the one brother that can go out and take pictures all day, then come back home to edit them all night long. He is reliable, trustworthy and will help out wherever he can.

It all began in 7th grade. Fiona had just moved into the area and walked into Christine’s class. Fiona was quiet and observant and Christine didn’t stop talking. The two were quick to befriend each other and, to Christine’s joy, she found out that this wonderfully kind, science-loving, and adventurous gem of a human would become her ride or die. From family camping trips, to Christine forgetting that Fiona is a vegetarian for 20+ years, to girls trips, to proms, to long walk and talks, to co-starring in middle school musicals together, to singing in the car, to road trips, and to life altering advice and conversations….Fiona is Christine’s person. Their friendship is once in a lifetime and Christine would not be where she is today without her Fifi.

Matt will always be known to me as the one who does not wait for what-ifs. If you propose that we should move the shed, he will shrug, get up and either call a few friends or devise a way to make it happen now. There is no trying with Matt, it is always done or almost done.

Bradley was the one of the closest friends to Daniel while going through High School. Being classmates, then going to each others houses after school, they quickly became thicker than thieves. Through many years of weekly Super Smash Brothers tournaments and many epic Nerf gun battles, their friendship cannot be easily broken.

Katie and Christine met in Girl Scouts wayyyyy back in the day. Though they didn't make it very far in their Girl Scout careers, and their camping skills proved to be less than sub par, Katie and Christine's friendship carried on through their adult lives. They still tried to go camping with their group of friends while in their 20's...it didn't go well. One could say Christine and Katie were forever Girl Scout wannabees...but really they just like being ridiculous together.

The younger brother to Bradley Hofmann. Brian has always been the one to not shy away from a challenge. Since meeting Brian, he has not let Bradley pin him in ay competition or friendly bout, but would spend multiple hours training to perfect his skills to reach and supersede his brother's place in our weekly Super Smash Brothers tournaments and online strategy game nights. While Christine was in the 4th grade, she was given an assignment to write 2 letters with a pen pal from England. Christine and Sam were assigned to each other and quickly found their mutual loves for dance, theatre, singing, art, Hello Kitty, cute boys, and the Spice Girls. They continued to write letters and continue to write to this day. In 2010, Christine studied abroad in England and the two were able to meet for the first time in person. It was magic! In 2015, Christine went back to England and they got to see each other again. And finally, also in 2015, Sam visited NYC and the two were once again reunited (and got to dance together on a Broadway stage!). A friendship for the ages, and still the Spice Girls' biggest fans.

Christine and Marianna met in high school in New York. Though they went to different area high schools, they met because of their love of dance (if you're lucky, we may bust out the tap shoes). The two became close friends while taking dance classes but, after graduating high school, eventually lost touch. Several years later, Christine moved to Sarasota and saw on Facebook that Marianna had just bought a house...in Sarasota! The two reconnected through Facebook when Christine moved to Sarasota and they have been pretty much inseparable ever since!

Luke has been a great friend to Daniel for the past year. Although it seems a short time to know each other, it feels like they have been lifelong friends. Luke and Daniel first met at one of Christine's many front-yard social gatherings. Afterwards, Christine, Daniel and Luke would go to watch football games every Sunday for playoff games and eventually finished off with the Super Bowl LV champions of Tampa Bay. There for each other in hard times and good, these three amigos have spent much time gallivanting around Sarasota eating good food and sharing good conversation, setting off fireworks, and creating a ruckus wherever they go.

Christine's loving sister-in-law, but really sister. The two met when Christine's brother, Keith, called and said, "you need to meet a girl I just started seeing. Her name is Maria, like West Side Story, and she likes Glee. The two of you will get along so well. And I think she might be the gal. Like, THE gal. " Well, Christine and Maria did meet and they quickly became two peas in a pod. Maria is an incredible wife to Keith, a wonderful mom to Olivia, and a cherished friend to Christine. Though distance keeps Christine physically far from Maria and fam, Christine and Maria always come together like no time has passed. And that is something very special in a friendship. Keep an eye out for all three members of this trio walking down the aisle on the 27th!

Oh, how to describe Dave... Dave is the friend that will call you in the middle of the day just to see how you are doing. Most conversations start with "Hey man" and have the phrase "It is what it is" sprinkled throughout the dialogue. Most conversations revolve around personal life and range from seeing the latest Marvel movies to walkthroughs of changing the oil on a car. To describe Dave, he is a friend that will stick up for you and will be there to talk with you through hard life situations. Dave is also the guy that will crawl under a car in gravel with you while it is raining, just to hand you a ratchet that is slightly out of reach. Dave is more than just a friend. He is someone that you can count on getting through life with. Even if you feel like giving up on a project, he will be there to try and help you finish it out. You just have to be ready to hear the phrase "It is what it is" a hundred times before the night is over.

Two theatre teachers...taking on the world. Katelyn and Christine have many ties professionally but their greatest collaboration is that of their supportive friendship. There is something quite wonderful about the bond between these two because of the conversational flow of being both supportive colleagues and dedicated friends. Katelyn is a constant positive in Christine's life with an effervescent ability for being compassionate, empathetic, and probably the most hilarious person Christine knows. Ask her about the "Button Witch." It is a quintessential Katelyn comedy.

Christine and Kelsey’s friendship started to develop right around the time that Kelsey was preparing for her own wedding! Their first big hoorah was Kelsey’s bachelorette party when Christine learned that the beach house weekend with the girls included that pants were optional, pool coffee was a must, and the television show “The Bachelor” is never missed and is considered an American treasure. The friendship was instant.
Stage Manager and Bridal Attendant
Christine and Jill met while working at the same theatre company in Florida. Some of their best and most hilarious memories come from within the walls of Jill's office at Florida Studio Theatre. We Jill's giving heart, organized touch on all things, and her ability to be equal parts listener and giver of advice has proven to make her an exceptional friend to Christine. Through hard times and good, these two have been sticking together like paper and glue for many years.
Officiant
Clarke, Daniel, and Christine have their very own breakfast club. Though they are rowdy like the kids in the 1980's flick, their breakfast club is not a result of them receiving detention. Instead, they frequent Sarasota's most popular breakfast locations on Saturdays and are thus Sarasota's most qualified breakfast critics. Just ask them...they are very emphatic about their breakfast potatoes. Clarke is a dear friend and has seen their relationship grow. He shares a love for many common interests with the bride and groom: Theatre, Circus, IT, Breakfast, Books, Crazy Anecdotes, and Music. His most recent gift to Daniel and Christine was the knowledge of a band named King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Clarke's friendship has a very special place in Daniel and Christine's hearts.
Mother of the Bride
Sheer joy. Infectious laughter. And a golden heart, combined with a feisty spirit. You can't get more golden than Da Mama. Mom and best friend to Christine and Keith, Mama Hopkins has been the strength of the Musketeers since losing their lead Musketeer, Papa (Tyler) Hopkins, 12 years ago. We remember him and know he is smiling down on us as Mama Hopkins and Keith will share the Father of the Bride dance with Christine on May 27th. Keep your eyes peeled because Mama Hopkins will be the first on the dance floor and last to leave it. A party isn't a party without this bundle of energy. And when “The Bird” by The Trashmen (Papa Hopkins’ favorite song) starts to play, Mama Hopkins will make sure you are dancing! Kind, beautiful, and good, Mama Hopkins is deeply adored by Daniel and Christine.
Father of the Groom
A loving father and a figure to always aspire to be like. You could always count on waking up to the smell of pancakes before he went to work. He was always well-known by his family for dragging everyone along for wandering adventures in the car on Sunday afternoons and early morning garage sale scouring on Saturdays. He was also known to be a caring and loving husband and father in the good times and the bad.
Mother of the Groom
A loving, caring and hardworking individual. A survivalist, a caretaker, and a mother of three boys. Many titles can be assigned to Mama Reagan, but not a single title can encompass everything that she means to us. She has always made herself available to us anytime of day or night. She cares for everyone and puts her whole self into everything that she does. Many characteristic traits can be assigned, but only one title can sum up who she is to us. Mama Reagan.
Flower Girl
Our three year old niece that will be playing and running around...maybe with pants on. It's anybody's guess.
Ushers
Where to start with these two? Christine and JT have been roommates for two years now. Shortly after JT moved into Christine’s house, he met the across the street neighbor, whom is the groom. Friendships grew and, soon after, JT’s partner Daniel came to visit. The friendships only grew stronger between Christine, JT, and their Daniels. Daniel (Dennert…we know this is getting confusing) became a staple in the crew and the four have spent many evenings hanging out on the couch, watching movies, and eating snacks. Daniel, JT, Daniel, and Christine are the original Golden Girls.
