This is the closest airport to the venue (~10 mi) and is accessible by BART (25 minutes) and rideshares (~$25).

Oakland International Airport

Fares are sometimes cheaper flying into Oakland and it is accessible via BART. It will take you longer to get into the city (~25 miles)!

Take BART to the Glen Park Station--the venue is a <10 minute walk from the station. Buy tickets at the station, cash, card, or Clipper Card.

MUNI - busses, metros, and streetcars

MUNI is the bus and light rail system in SF. It covers almost all of the city and is almost always an interesting experience. MUNI fares are currently $2.50 (payable in exact cash/change or via Clipper Card or Mobile Muni), good for 2 hours of travel (as many lines, transfers, etc as you can fit in 2 hours). There are also a variety of visitor and day passes available. You can take the 23 or 36 bus to the venue from the BART station or elsewhere in the City. You will want the Congo Street stop.

Clipper Cards

Almost all Bay Area transit agencies use the Clipper Card for payment--you tag the card when you get on (and sometimes off) public transport. You can pre-order one at the address above if you really really want to be prepared but you can also buy them at MUNI stations and Walgreens in the City. The card itself costs $3 but you save money on each fare price. If you think you will be taking the bus or MUNI a lot, it is worth getting one! MUNI also has a Mobile MUNI app that works similarly but uses your phone (also saves you on fares) and does not work on BART.
