Our good friend and Cameron's best man, Mark Stoller, can be credited for the introduction. We met during the summer before our Freshman year of high school while on vacation with our families in the Keys. The Millers & Levinsons had the same idea and both planned an end of summer trip, booking the same resort on the same weekend! Mark introduced Cameron & Christine on the dock at the resort and the three of us spent the rest of the day playing Marco/Polo, lounging on the beach and looking for shooting stars at night. Though we never attended the same school, we always stayed friends and spent weekends at the same parties, out on the boat or at the beach. At some point during college, we allowed each other out of the 'friend zone' and Christine took Cameron to her sorority's formal, called "Italian Wedding." From there our relationship grew and survived years of long distance, several moves and career changes. Our latest adventure has been the purchase of our first home, and very own "fixer upper," in Charlotte! After many years of dating, we are excited to tie the knot where it all began... in the Florida Keys!
His story: Our 4th of July trip with my family and our friends to our cabin in Bryson City, NC had been set for months. Little did anyone know I had also decided to ask the love of my life to marry me that weekend. Not wanting the surprise to be ruined, I told no one and waited until the morning of to tell my best man, Mark, of the plan. The champagne that I stored in coolers marked "deer feed," the ring hidden in my duffel bag and my Spotify with just one song in my library were all revealed to Mark as I told him the game plan. The Mannequin Challenge proposal was set in motion. As the sun set, Mark and I gathered our friends and family and set their positions. Everyone was frozen, our song (Say You Won't Let Go, by James Arthur) played, the camera rolled and in the end I got a YES!! Champagne and festivities lasted through the evening as we celebrated the beginning of a new chapter.
