Niagara Falls State Park

Visit one of the natural wonders of the world! If you have US passport, would also recommend visiting the Canadian side as well. If the weather is nice enough, take a hike down to the rapids at whirlpool state park.

Canalside

In March the weather is often still cold enough for winter activities, such as ice skating. Canalside has one of the bigger outdoor skating rinks. Check out the surrounding area for the Naval Park, Children's museum, or the views at the inner harbor. Also, on March 12 at 7:30, there is a lacrosse game at Key Bank center. Buffalo Bandits games are a lot of fun! Remember to check the website for covid rules.

Cobblestone District (Downtown)

Located near canalside is the cobblestone district, known for its nightlife. Seneca Creek casino offers gaming opportunities, while Helium comedy club has a number of shows that weekend. Parking rules vary by location but street parking is generally free after 5 pm on weekdays and free Saturday and Sunday.

Wimbledon Bowling Lanes

There are a number of great bowling alleys in Buffalo (another good one to check out if you are staying in the Northtowns is Voelker's lanes), this is an easy one to get to from downtown or the south towns. Most bowling alleys in Buffalo are open until midnight or later.

Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens

Niagara Wine Trail

There are a number of wineries in Niagara county. Some of our favorites: Arrowhead, Gust of Sun, Niagara Landing, Schwenk and Chateau Niagara.

Walden Galleria

One of the best shopping areas in Western New York and Southern Ontario. There are also lots of fine dining options and activities.
