Yes, the wedding is on a 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲!
Yes! The ceremony and reception will be at one venue. We’ll have shuttles taking guests to and from the wedding and reception venue from the El Presidente Intercontinental Hotel. For now, this will be the only pick-up and drop-off location, so we highly recommend using the provided transportation—it’ll make things easy and stress-free!
Black tie optional. Gentlemen may opt for a tuxedo, suit and tie, while ladies can choose sarees, lehengas, gowns or other elegant formalwear. Most importantly, we encourage everyone to have fun and wear something that makes them feel 𝐟𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬!
Like the name suggests, our venue is set within the beautiful ruins of a 17th-century Carmelite convent, later incorporated into a national park in the 19th century. Alex and his family have spent many days hiking its trails and exploring the historic grounds, and it became one of the first places he shared with Christine on her first trip to Mexico City. Our celebration will include both indoor and outdoor moments. While evenings can get a bit cool, we’ve made arrangements to ensure all our guests are comfortable throughout the night (space heaters etc.); however, we remind you that it could be chilly outside of these areas so you may want to bring a shawl for extra warmth.
January in Mexico City offers a welcome escape from Chicago’s winter chill! Expect mild, sunny days with cooler mornings and evenings. We recommend bringing a light jacket and dressing in layers to stay comfortable throughout the day. As for the wedding day, we have taken steps to make sure our guests are comfortable but you may consider bringing a shawl for extra warmth.
