We're Getting Married!

We have had such fantastic opportunities to meet so many amazing people in our lives and during the time we've spent together over the last six years. From growing up together, working side-by-side, staying in the same hostel, sailing together, and being lucky enough to be part of your own vacations, we have made friends around the world. We have shared our story with you all and each of you have been a part of our journey together. Now we want to include you in the next step of our adventure. We are getting married! (Finally!) If you are reading this, at some point you have made an impact on one or both of us. While we cannot have you all there on our special day in person, we would like you to please share with us in spirit and excitement for us finding that person who helps make our dreams a reality and to have a happier life than we ever thought possible.

On February 17th, 2020 we will be declaring our love and dedication to one another while in the wilderness of Kenya. Surrounded by nature and wildlife, we will say our vows under the open African sky and solidify our bond that has been growing since that first day we met. We will then celebrate with each of our families in a private ceremony in April on a beautiful pond near the mountains outside of Denver, Colorado.

From our first date to present day, our conversations about the future have always turned to travel, adventure, photography and exploring wild places. Early on, we had dreams of moving to Africa, taking wildlife biology classes and becoming safari guides. As we planned, other incredible opportunities arose and life took over. We have been blessed to explore so many hidden corners of this world. We led horseback adventures through the jungles of Nicaragua, mountain hiked through Alaska, led kayaking expeditions in Southeast Asia, surfed in Bali, scuba dived in glacially fed lagoons and so much more. However, as the new experiences started adding up, we weren't closer to our original idea of going to experience wild Africa. After we got engaged in 2018 in Hawaii, we thought long and hard about how to make our special day extraordinary to us. The idea of saying our vows outside, where we spend our life, was undeniable. As we searched for the most dream-like experience, it all came back to our original inspiration. To be in a wild new land, on a continent neither of us have ever visited, and to complete the circle that started over six years ago, has combined to be the perfect celebration of our love and the beginning of so many more adventures together, forever.
