Schedule

The Wedding Website of Christine Cheng and Aaron Liwanag
When deciding our location, a key consideration was to allow our family and friends do what we both enjoy the most - explore and travel. We picked Bangkok, Thailand as we loved the breadth of its cuisine, the depth of its culture, and the warmth of its people. We've limited the activities to give you the time and flexibility to explore. We planned activities below and most are optional to provide the flexibility for you to explore Bangkok in your own way. We'd love for you to join the group activities and explore with all of us together. All other times, we encourage you to do what we love most, curiously explore the city and its fascinating culture. NOTE: We will use a separate Google calendar to manage activity invites so no need to utilize buttons below (they do not update with changes)

Street Shopping [Optional Morning Activity]

8:00 am - 12:00 pm

December is dry and warm, so wear light clothing and comfy shoes for this morning event.

Chatuchak "The Weekend" Market—known locally as JJ Market - is one of the largest outdoor markets in the world with 200,000 visitors every weekend. With 15,000+ stalls, it’s a treasure trove of Thai street food, handmade goods, vintage finds, plants, art, and more. It began in the 1940s and grew into a vibrant symbol of Thai culture. Why We Love It: What makes Chatuchak special isn’t just the scale—it’s the spirit. It’s the joyful chaos that defines the place. Artists sketch portraits, old men feed caged birds, and chefs work tiny grills. It’s a glimpse of how Thailand blends old traditions with global creativity. It’s a market, yes—but also a living museum, a foodcourt, art gallery, and a fair all rolled into one. We believe it’s one of the best ways to experience real Thai culture—alive, flavorful, and full. Wander, eat, and bargain like a local! We’re providing transportation—just bring cash, curiosity, and a love of discovery. https://www.chatuchakmarket.org/

Lunch [Optional]

Mega Mall Shopping [Optional Afternoon Activity]

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

December is perfect for visiting ICONSIAM with comfortable temperatures and minimal rain. Light clothing and walking shoes are recommended for exploring this massive indoor complex.

ICONSIAM—pronounced "Icon-Sai-yam"—is a luxury riverside development spanning 750K sq meters along the Chao Phraya River. Opened in November 2018, it combines world-class shopping, dining, and cultural experiences in a stunning architectural showcase. It houses 500+ shops and restaurants across multiple zones, from international luxury brands to traditional Thai crafts. Why We Love It: What makes it special isn't just its grandeur—it's how it celebrates Thai heritage while embracing modernity. The SookSiam zone recreates Thailand's diverse regions with authentic products from 77 provinces in an indoor floating market atmosphere. It transforms the riverfront during a magical nightly water and light show (daily at 7, 8, & 9PM). It's a Bangkok's cultural destination, culinary paradise, architectural marvel, and elegant entertainment venue in one magnificent location. Remember to bring your camera, shopping appetite, and sense of wonder. https://iconsiam.com/en
