One of the many things Josh and I have in common is a willingness to wait for what we want. There were no expectations when I got “set up” by a friend to meet Josh at Hogs for the Cause back in June. He had zero idea that I was prepped on who he was, which made it a winning situation for me. Zero pressure. Well, pressure or no pressure, nothing could have changed that magical moment on June 4th when I met Josh Golding. There had to be a little touch of fate that got us both there that Friday night. I almost bailed last minute, and he had just flown in from a trip to Miami. Both of us doubted going, but something nudged us to be there that night. We like to think this has been God’s plan all along, so thank you, Big Guy, for putting us both in the right place at the right time. If you know me well, you know I live my life at one speed, and that is fast. Talk fast, eat fast, drink fast, and now I can add one more “fast skill” to my list: falling in love. We didn’t waste any time meeting each other’s friends and families, and for all of you who know my big, loud Lebanese family, you know it takes some stamina to get through a Sunday family lunch. Josh was MVP on his first trip to Lafayette, and I still smile thinking about him around our family table at Mae Mae’s. It felt like a dream! Five short months passed, and we both knew we had finally found our perfect match. Josh will tell you he knew in 24 short hours that I was the one. It only took me until our first date at Peche to know that God finally answered my prayer and sent me my husband to be. Another trait Josh and I share is decisiveness. Once we both knew for certain we wanted to spend forever together, Josh popped the question at our favorite spot: the two rocking chairs on his front porch. Shortly after, my immediate family showed up with a big Lebanese dinner, and we popped champagne. This is when I knew. Josh REALLY knows me! It was my perfect night.

We are going to keep this momentum going and not waste any time to say “I Do!”. Wine has been a passion of mine, and now it is one Josh and I share together. I’ve always dreamed of a more intimate, destination wedding where all my family and close friends could be together sharing in this long-anticipated day. We both decided on a Napa Valley wedding and haven’t looked back. We are so excited to celebrate with those who mean the most to us. Wine, friends, family, and the love of my life are all in my favorite city for a weekend full of celebration; sign me up for that! Thank you to everyone who has reached out to congratulate us.
