Of course many people will need more time to get passports, request time off, and budget for the trip. We’re requesting that you RSVP affirmatively by December 31 if you are making plans to attend. We’ll have until January 15 to finalize the guest list, and request that any last minute changes be made no later than that date.
Yes! We’re requesting cocktail to formal attire. Wear what makes you feel like the most elegant, confident, hottest version of yourself. Suits/blazers/vests, dresses long or short, fabulous jumpers, you get the idea (ties optional, but appreciated if the weather cooperates). If you’re wondering how to narrow things down in the color wheel, we’re pretty into muted tones and neutrals, lavender, sage, beige, taupe, and mauve, and not so into the neons and super saturated jewel tones. Since we’re not doing a bridal party, you won’t need to worry about avoiding anything specific (except plain white/ivory please!). For what it’s worth, we think black is a perfectly good choice for guest attire. For more affordable and sustainable occasion wear, there are fantastic rental and resale companies with tons of options: Nuuly and Rent-the-Runway have great selections for women. The Real Real and Depop have amazing selections of like new and gently used higher-end brands for women and men.

There are a few ways to go here, and we opted not to do a hotel block, given that everyone will have a different idea of how best to spend their time in Portugal. There are many options for Airbnbs, VRBOs, and hotels. 1. Lisbon, the star of the show, and our top choice of you don’t mind a 35 min drive to and from the wedding venue. Excellent public transit options, and infinite possibilities for entertainment. 2. Azeitao, where the wedding is being held. A small town 35 min from Lisbon with enough to entertain for a day or two and about 20 min from scenic beaches, National parks, and Setubal, a beach city with a bit more to offer. 3. Setubal, a beach city big enough to host a professional soccer pitch. Adorable if you want a slower paced trip.
